DATA INTEGRITY
Around 2010, there were a worrying number of publications about poor reproducibility of results in preclinical research. At the same time, the company increasingly invested in external innovation. Therefore, a Research & Development (R&D)-wide project called DDI (Discovery Data Integrity) was initiated to strive for leadership in setting data quality standards for internal and external research. This project involved multiple work streams, addressed both process and cultural aspects, and was approached as a close collaboration between scientists and quality professionals to maintain the balance between the vital creative spirit of the R&D organization and the thorough and accurate documentation required.
